"Speechie". Slang for Speech-Language Pathologist.
Started this blog as a graduate student, completed my clinical fellowship year and now am fully licensed. Trying to make sense and balance the paperwork, insurance craziness and last, but not least, my amazing 'persons.' I have a special interest in brain injury, alternative and augmentative communication(AAC) and literacy. I am also interested to find the best communication system for individuals with severe disabilities.

Second Semester
I'm placed at the nursing home this semester, orientation was good, seems to be very interesting and fun. Residents themselves were a treat. Hopefully I'll get more hours this semester, else I'll be two semester's behind...argh! this system rots.
